Milestones in the Group's history
Here is some information about how our successful family company has evolved over time - from when the business was first established by the graduate engineer Alois Lödige in 1948 through to the international Group we are today.
This historical journey through time is divided into the following eras:
Formation and expansion
Following its establishment in Paderborn, Germany, in 1948, the business soon becomes a limited company (GmbH) due to its success and additional production halls are built on the site in Warburg/Scherfede.

|1949||The company's first product - the Hubfix - is unveiled in Frankfurt at the first industrial exhibition after the war|
|1953||Construction of hydraulic lifting platforms with a capacity of up to 100 t|
|1961||Company's legal status changes to GmbH (private limited company)|
|1965||New production halls in Warburg/Scherfede|
New management and new divisions
New management and divisions: during the 1970s and 80s, the company extends its services into air cargo.
|1975||First air cargo project: the KLM air cargo terminal at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands|
|1980||Dr. Rudolf Lödige becomes managing director|
Restructuring and an international focus
Around the turn of the millennium the company's success extends to Asia.
|1993||Takeover of Hollfelder Elektronik-LogIT|
|1995||Signing of a contract for the British Airways World Cargo Terminal at London Heathrow and successful handover to the customer in 1999|
|1998||Company splits into Lödige Fördertechnik GmbH and Lödige Gebäudelogistik GmbH (now Lödige Aufzugstechnik GmbH based in Paderborn but no longer part of the Lödige Industries Group)|
|2004||New Loedige Asia Ltd. subsidiary is established in Hong Kong|
Lödige points the way forward in product development.
|2004||Special lifting platform design for painting the vertical stabilizer of the Airbus A380 at Airbus's Finkenwerder plant in Hamburg|
|2006||Handover of T2 cargo terminal at Hong Kong International Airport to customer AAT Asia Airfreight Terminal|
|2010||Two lorry lifts are supplied to Hyde Park One in London|
|2011||Awarded contract by MASkargo to redevelop the air cargo hub at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia|
|2011||Handover of air cargo terminal for New Doha International Airport in Qatar|
|2015||The Europe`s largest public fully automated car park system delivered to DOKK1 in Aarhus (Denmark)|
