Right Angle Deck

for ULD

Precise ULD Redirection for Efficient Terminal Logistics

Need to change the direction of ULD flow within your air cargo terminal without compromising on speed or safety? The Right Angle Deck offers a robust and automated way to reroute ULDs at 90° angles, making it a key element of modern internal transport systems.

What Is the ULD Right Angle Deck?

The ULD Right Angle Deck is a powered conveyor module that enables automated 90° transfers of Unit Load Devices (ULDs) at system height. It combines longitudinal roller transfer and lateral wheel transfer in a single, motorised unit. An eccentric cam mechanism lifts and lowers the conveyor sections for seamless direction change — ideal for 2-, 3-, or 4-way junctions. Designed for 508 mm height systems and ULDs up to 6,800 kg.

Automation Degree

Right Angle Decks enable automated changes in ULD transfer direction at 90° junctions. Equipped with powered rollers, driven wheels, sensors and motor brakes, they operate semi-automatically and integrate seamlessly into conveying systems. Connected to the Lödige Cargo Professional Suite, they support coordinated movement control and process monitoring within the terminal. Manual fallback options remain available for emergency handling. Right Angle Decks therefore provide an intermediate level of automation – ensuring reliable cargo flow and reducing manual intervention at system intersections.
