RISE-R-C – car lift with roof for large height differences
When a ramp would have to span several storeys
With every storey a ramp has to overcome, the space it requires grows. Parking spaces are lost in the underground car park, above ground the access takes up plot area, and the floor plan follows the driving lane rather than the use of the building.
RISE-R-C covers this route vertically and needs only the footprint of one parking space to do so. The platform runs on lateral guides and reaches a stroke of up to 11500 mm. In the lowered position, a roof closes the shaft, so the area above it remains part of the courtyard or access area.
What is Swiss-Park RISE-R-C?
Swiss-Park RISE-R-C is a car lift with roof for projects with a large height difference between the entry level and the parking level. The driver drives onto the platform, stays in the vehicle and holds the travel button down throughout the entire journey – when it is released, the movement stops. The parking solution moves the hydraulically driven platform on lateral guides in a shaft provided on site and uses sensors on both sides to check that the vehicle is correctly positioned. Swiss-Park is a Lödige Industries company.
RISE-R-C operates without a cabin and without cabin doors; the stops are closed off on site with gates or shaft protection. In the lowered position, the roof closes the shaft opening and takes a project-specific flooring. With a stroke of 3000 to 11500 mm, RISE-R-C also overcomes height differences spanning several storey heights.
Your benefits at a glance
RISE-R-C needs only the footprint of one parking space for the change of level. Platform dimensions, stroke and roof are matched to the building and the vehicles.

When the travel button is released, the movement stops. The roof is part of the safety and usage concept: a vehicle parked on it must be removed before operation. Gates, sensors and access points are defined for each project.

Platform length and width are determined based on the intended vehicles and the structural conditions. The permissible total load is made up of the vehicle weight and the flooring on the roof; the flooring is counted at up to 250 kg/m², and a heavier build-up reduces the load capacity available for the vehicle.
Detailed dimensions, loads and planning information can be found in the product data sheet.
Where RISE-R-C can be used
Residential Buildings
In residential buildings, an access ramp spanning several storeys takes up large parts of the plot and building area. RISE-R-C provides vertical access to the parking level and keeps the floor plan free. The solution is suitable as long as the residents can be instructed as a fixed group of users and the traffic volume remains manageable.
With its roof, RISE-R-C can be integrated into the surface concept, so the area above the shaft is retained as a courtyard or access area.
Private Homes & Villas and private garages
For private homes and private garages, the use of the plot and a short connection between access and garage are the main focus. RISE-R-C comes into consideration when the garage is more than one storey lower than the access. Platform and shaft dimensions are matched to the intended vehicles and the building.
The roof takes the intended flooring, so the car lift can be located beneath a designed or trafficable outdoor area.
Office Buildings
Office buildings often need a connection between street level and parking level without a long ramp dominating the floor plan. RISE-R-C overcomes large height differences on the footprint of one parking space and suits regulated user groups with predictable vehicle movements.
In a courtyard or outdoor area, the roof of RISE-R-C blends into the surface. Traffic routing, the load on the roof and the clearances for the sensor mounting columns are coordinated at an early stage.
Hotels & Commercial Buildings
In hotels and commercial buildings, RISE-R-C provides access to parking areas that could only be reached via a ramp with considerable space requirements. The solution is relevant when vehicle movements remain predictable and the system is to be integrated compactly into the building.
Because the driver operates the system during the journey, journeys are made by instructed persons, for example staff in valet operation. For higher traffic volumes, the car lifts TRAFFICO, CARRICO and PEGASOS are also considered during planning.

FAQs
Yes. Driver and vehicle are transported together. The journey does not run automatically: the travel button must be held down throughout the entire movement, and the system stops when it is released. This dead-man control requires a defined group of instructed users. A positioning aid, drive-through sensors and up to four safety light curtains support the process.
The rated load of RISE-R-C is the total load of the vehicle and the flooring on the roof, not the permissible vehicle weight. The flooring is counted at up to 250 kg/m². An example: with a total load of 5000 kg, 3000 kg is allotted to the vehicle and 2000 kg to the flooring.
All three transport the vehicle with the driver on board and work with the same operating concept. RISE-P and RISE-R-5-P are scissor lift tables for a stroke of 2700 to 3700 mm, i.e. a change of level of one storey – RISE-P without a roof, RISE-R-5-P with a roof. RISE-R-C moves the platform on lateral guides in the shaft and reaches a stroke of 3000 to 11500 mm. The choice depends primarily on the height difference.
RISE-R-C is installed in a shaft provided on site that extends from the entry level to the parking level, with a pit of 1500 mm below. The floor and walls below the entry level must be made of concrete, at least C20/25, because the system is anchored in the floor and side walls. Standing water is drained via a collecting sump or a permanently installed pump, and surface water via a surrounding drainage channel. The sealing of the shaft, roof and drainage channel is carried out by the builder.
That depends on the available installation space. Required are a shaft spanning the full height difference, a pit of 1500 mm, a load-bearing connection in the floor and walls, and a lockable, ventilated technical area for the hydraulic power unit and control cabinet. The access also plays a role, as descending slopes of up to 4 per cent and ascending slopes of up to 14 per cent must be observed. For projects in existing buildings, we check feasibility on the basis of the floor plan and section.
Helpful are the floor plan and section with the height difference between the levels, the intended vehicles with length, width and weight, the number of users, and information on the access and the possible location of the technical area. As the system affects the shaft, structure, drainage and gates, coordination in the design phase is worthwhile – later changes affect the shell construction.
