What you are in charge of:

  • Responsible for the ordering of all materials, supplies, and/or equipment and spare parts for our Service contracts in Hong Kong; this includes the full process with suppliers from order, shipment and delivery
  • Work closely with our German, Headquarter, local engineering teams, quality assurance personnel and the Maintenance Managers of our various Service departments
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
  • Assess supplier profiles and analyze offers in order to source and select new suppliers, maintain supplier relationships, place purchase orders, and arrange shipping
  • To follow up on orders to ensure that materials are shipped and delivered on the promised dates
  • Review and inspect products, supplies received for quality and quantity to ensure adherence to specifications and terms and conditions
  • Maintain records of all purchase orders and associated documents and to keep an overview of all outstanding purchases
  • Provide the first point of call for all enquiries and to provide updates and assistance as necessary
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures etc.)
  • Ad-hoc tasks to support our project management team for our Asia Pacific projects in relation to procurement

What you offer:

  • Bachelor’s degree holder in Purchasing / Electronic Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • Knowledge of market research, data analysis and purchasing best practices
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiating prices and terms and conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines
  • A strong analytical mind set and outstanding organizational skills and strong emphasis on accuracy and detail
  • Proficient working knowledge of MS Office especially Excel
  • Good documentation skills
  • 2 - 3 years sourcing and procurement experience in a multinational environment, experience in sourcing of Material Handling Equipment or services would be an advantage
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin is required
  • Experience with site construction, Automation & Control or ‪Electronic components and/or e-procurement application system design and implementation would be advantageous
