Many students will recognise this situation: your university timetable is packed, but theory alone isn’t enough. You want to understand what it will all be like in a job later on – and ideally gain some practical experience whilst you’re still studying.

A work-study programme makes exactly that possible. You’ll work in your field of study – for example, in marketing & communications, product management, sustainability, mechanical engineering or IT – and see how your knowledge works in practice. You’ll take on your own tasks and be part of the team.

It’s important that the job fits flexibly into your week. You can plan your hours around lectures and appointments and put in more time during the semester breaks. This way, you gain experience whilst discovering what you’re really cut out for.
