Premium living meets next-generation automated parking

Completed in 2023, Lödige Industries commissioned a fully automated E-PUZZLE parking system in Berlin, Germany. Installed below ground, the system provides 14 parking spaces for a seven-story, twelve-unit infill apartment building in Berlin-Wilmersdorf.

Designed by Sebastian Treese Architekten, the premium residential development combines classical architecture with modern mobility infrastructure. Due to the limited footprint of the inner-city site, a conventional underground parking layout was not a viable option.

Considering modern urban requirements

The narrow inner-city site and the architectural ambition of the project left limited room for a conventional underground garage layout. Ramps and drive aisles would have reduced valuable residential space and compromised the efficiency of the building footprint.

To overcome these constraints, Lödige Industries implemented a fully automated parking system with integrated car lift, allowing 14 vehicles to be stored across a compact underground layout while maintaining the architectural quality of the development.

Seamless integration into architecture

Designed by Sebastian Treese Architekten, the building combines classical proportions with Berlin’s traditional brick architecture. The automated parking system was integrated into the project from the earliest planning stages, enabling a cleaner basement layout without ramps or complex vehicle circulation areas.

This allowed the underground space to be used more efficiently while supporting the premium residential concept of the development.

Efficient and space-saving

The automated parking concept reduces the amount of underground space required for vehicle movement by eliminating ramps, turning areas, and internal traffic lanes.

This creates additional usable space within the building and supports a more compact and efficient structural layout compared to a conventional underground garage
