STORE-R – parking platform for one parking space where construction depth is limited
Where one vehicle is to be accommodated below ground level and the construction depth is limited
On high-value plots, a parking space is a fixed part of the planning, yet it should not visibly define the plot. In front gardens, courtyards and prestigious outdoor areas, conventional parking takes up ground area and affects both the architecture and the landscape design.
STORE-R moves the parking space below ground level. The upper cover takes a project-specific flooring and connects to the adjoining area. Among the parking platforms, STORE-R is particularly relevant where one vehicle is to be accommodated with the smallest possible construction depth.
What is STORE-R?
STORE-R is a parking platform for projects in which one vehicle is to be parked below ground level while the area above it is used as part of the design. The driver parks the vehicle on the platform and leaves the movement area, while the parking solution lowers the platform into a pit provided on site. The upper cover takes a project-specific floor or paving construction.
STORE-R belongs to the Swiss-Park STORE product family and is available in the versions 3-P and 5-P, which differ in their permissible total load. Swiss-Park is a Lödige Industries company.

Technical data
STORE-R is available in two versions. Both accommodate one vehicle beneath an access route or outdoor area. Dimensions and performance values are identical; the difference lies in the permissible total load from the vehicle and the flooring on the roof.
| Technical specification | STORE-R-3-P | STORE-R-5-P |
|---|---|---|
| Permissible total load including flooring on the roof | 3500 kg | 5000 kg |
| Hydraulic cylinders | 3 | 5 |
| Rigid bases | 1 | 2 |
| Support force F1 | +50 kN | +70 kN |
| Hydraulic power unit | 5.5 kW, 400 V, 50 Hz | 5.2 / 11 kW, 230/400 V, 50 Hz |
| Suitable where … | the vehicle and the flooring on the roof together weigh up to 3500 kg | the vehicle and the flooring on the roof together weigh up to 5000 kg |
The permissible total load comprises the vehicle and the complete floor or paving construction on the upper cover. Both weights are to be considered together when selecting the version.
Common technical data
| Technical specification | STORE-R-3-P and STORE-R-5-P |
|---|---|
| Number of vehicles | 1 |
| Use during movement | Without a driver on board |
| Stroke | 2700 to 3700 mm |
| Speed | 6 to 8 cm/s |
| Pit length | 5360 to 6500 mm |
| Platform length | 5310 to 6450 mm |
| Pit width | 2500 to 3000 mm |
| Platform width | 2450 to 2950 mm |
| Clear passage width | 2200 to 2700 mm |
| Wall distance, longitudinal and lateral | 25 mm |
| Technical pit depth | 570 to 620 mm |
| Clear entry height | 1800 to 2200 mm |
| Flooring on the roof | Up to 250 kg/m² within the permissible total load |
| Pit | Provided on site, floor and walls in concrete, minimum C20/25 |
| Operating temperature | -10 °C to +40 °C |
| Upper cover | Can be constructed with a project-specific floor or paving build-up |
The platform dimensions are matched to the intended vehicles and the structural conditions. Planning also has to take into account drainage, waterproofing, structure, the access route, technical connections and the complete build-up of the upper surface. The access route stays within the permissible gradients, 4 per cent on a descending slope and 14 per cent on an ascending slope.
Detailed dimensions, loads and planning data can be found in the product data sheet.
Where STORE-R can be used
Private Homes & Villas
On private plots, the parking space is often the largest sealed area in the front of the property. STORE-R moves the vehicle below ground level so that the area above it remains part of the garden, the courtyard or the access route. This is particularly relevant where the plot is small and a garage would further restrict the buildable area.
Residential Buildings
In Residential Buildings, individual parking spaces are often provided on the plot itself because an underground car park remains uneconomical for a small number of vehicles. STORE-R creates such a parking space selectively below ground. The area above it remains available for access routes, amenity space or planting.
Courtyards and prestigious outdoor areas
Courtyards, forecourts and prestigious outdoor areas are to remain flexible in use and are usually fully designed. STORE-R provides a parking space there without permanently taking up the area. The decisive factors are the connection of the flooring to the adjoining area as well as the waterproofing and drainage of the pit.
Residential Developments
In Residential Developments, parking spaces compete with access routes, open space and amenity quality. STORE-R can accommodate individual parking spaces in locations where visible parking would disrupt the open space concept. This is worthwhile above all on demanding plots with few parking spaces per location.

Frequently asked questions
STORE-R moves a vehicle vertically, but it is not intended for transport between building levels that are in regular use. Its purpose is to park a vehicle below ground level while the area above it remains part of the outdoor space. Where vehicles are to be moved regularly between several levels, a car lift is the more suitable solution.
Both versions have the same dimensions and the same stroke. They differ in the permissible total load, 3500 kg for 3-P and 5000 kg for 5-P. The total load comprises the vehicle and the flooring on the upper cover, which is why both weights together determine the choice of version.
No. STORE-R is a model without a driver on board. The driver parks the vehicle on the platform and leaves the movement area before the platform is lowered or raised.
Yes. The upper cover takes a project-specific floor or paving construction and connects to the adjoining area. The flooring may weigh no more than 250 kg/m² and is included in the permissible total load. In the lowered position, the area can serve as a further parking space under certain conditions. The vehicle parked there is removed before the system is operated.
A drainage pit of 50 x 50 x 50 cm with a sump pump is to be provided inside the pit. The surrounding drainage with a connection to the sewerage system is to be provided on site, as is the waterproofing of the pit and the upper cover. Standing water in the pit is to be avoided.
Yes. The dimensions are coordinated with the gate supplier. Coordination between the gate manufacturer and Lödige is also required so that the gate and the side walls do not collide.
A retrofit is assessed on a project basis. The decisive factors are the achievable pit dimensions, the structural analysis, drainage, waterproofing, ventilation, the technical connections and the build-up of the upper surface. Because this generally requires substantial excavation work, feasibility should be assessed together with Lödige at an early stage.
A site plan, floor plan and section, the intended installation position, the vehicle dimensions and vehicle weight, the planned surface build-up, the achievable pit dimensions as well as information on drainage, waterproofing and any gate closure are helpful.
